FREEZE CONTROL Features
User-friendly
FREEZE CONTROL systems are designed for ease of use. They are simple to operate, and no special installation or operator training is required. Systems offer fast set up, restart, an dismantle. Manual seeding is easy to perform and safe for specimens.
Reliable
FREEZE CONTROL systems use solid state circuitry. There are no compressors, solenoids, fans, or valves with moving parts that eventually wear out. Each system is factory tested and calibrated immediately prior to shipping, and is backed by a 2-year manufacturer's warranty.
Accurate
The freezers unique design allows the temperature to be precisely specified and accurately maintained at all times. The design of the cryochamber ensures uniformity of specimen temperature. Results are consistent and reproducible.
Customized
A system can be customized to meet particular requirements. Special modification may also be possible. For example, a signal tone from the controller, computer, or both can be included in the program to alert the operator when intervention is required. Customer specified programs can be preinstalled in preprogrammed systems, and customized program chips can be supplied after purchase.
Return to Top Economical
FREEZE CONTROL systems are an economical choice either as a primary freezer or as a backup to an existing freezer. The initial cost of the system is low: running costs are low (LN2 is less than 1 litre/hour & electricity consumption is less than a 60 watt household light bulb), minimal maintenance cost is required, and the compact size keeps shipping costs low. Safe and Quiet
Only small amounts of liquid nitrogen are required and the use of pressurized LN2 vessels is unnecessary. No flammable liquids are used. The freezer is free of CFCs and other ozone damaging gasses. Operation of the system is silent and does not contribute to noise levels in busy labs.
Portable
FREEZE CONTROL systems are compact and light weight, easily moved from one place to another, and readily shipped. They take up little bench space in the lab and can be used in the field (with a power pack). When not in use, they can be conveniently stored away.
Precision Temperature Control The rate of cooling and thawing is variable, according to user requirements. Temperatures can be held constant at any point within the control range. Controllers can also be used to provide controlled-rate specimen thawing. Thermometry and temperature control circuits are calibrated to accuracies of better than ±0.1°C.
