Vortexes (Thermolyne)

Vortex Maxi Mix® II
Vortex Maxi Mix® I and Plus

Product Description

  • Soft foam rubber pad permits vortex mixing of 1-4 test tubes simultaneously. Excellent for mixing contents of small flasks with closed tops.
  • Heavy duty cast metal base and suction cup feet provide greater stability to assure no movement or "walking" during mixing.
  • Maxi Mix II comes complete with two mixing surfaces: a single-cup tube holder for mixing single tubes, and 3.5" (8.9 cm) diameter foam pad for mixing flasks or multiple tubes simultaneously.

Operation

  • Variable speed control allows adjustment of mixing action from 100 to 3000 rpm.
  • Can be operated in continuous mode when mixing a quantity of tubes or flasks in sequence; intermittent mode is activated by touching the foam rubber pad or cup attachment with test tube.

Applications

  • Mixing media in test tubes
  • Mixing cytogenetic suspensions in centrifuge tubes
  • Enzymatic and RIA assays
  • Vortexing cell suspensions
  • Vortexing drug extractions
  • Atomic absorption sample preparation
  • Nelson's assay for reducing sugars

Type M63200 Maxi Mix Plus

  • Designed with a heavy cast aluminum body to provide optimum bench-top stability.
  • The mixer has two modes of operation: Continuous operation when you need to mix a quantity of tubes in sequence; intermittent operation is activated by touching the cup attachment with a test tube.
  • Equipped with a single tube mixing cup for single tube mixing and a soft foam pad and mixing platform for mixing 1 - 4 test tubes simultaneously.

Type M16700 Maxi Mix I

  • The soft foam rubber pad permits vortex mixing of 1 - 4 test tubes simultaneously, depending on tube diameter. Excellent for mixing the contents of small flasks with closed tops.
  • Convenient top-mounted push button on/off switch can be activated with either a finger or test tube.
  • Vary vortex mixing by simply changing the pressure of the tube or flask against the foam pad.
•Clean, white durable plastic case is both acid and alkaline resistant.
  • Special rubber feet prevent mixer from moving during operation.
